January 27, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Contact: Heidi Frei 517-202-1360

Meeting Location: 41.907001, -86.591755.

Join us for a winter afternoon of invasive elimination along the beautiful dunes! We will be cutting and stump treating invasive oriental bittersweet before it girdles trees and marches further into the dunes. No experience is necessary, training will be provided. Please arrive on time as we may caravan to the work site. Meet at the picnic area just south of the campground. Follow the road to the campground, turn left into the picnic shelter.

Please register using the volunteer registration form or via email to freih@michigan.gov. Additional information is available via the DNR Volunteer Stewardship webpage. For more information about invasive species, please visit michigan.gov/invasives.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the event contact to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
