Waterloo Recreation Area Volunteer Stewardship Workday

February 1 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Meeting location: Meet on Waterloo Road just west of M-52. Roadside parking.

Help protect native habitat in Waterloo Recreation Area, the largest state park in the Lower Peninsula. Waterloo is home to a plethora of native ecosystems, with 25 unique natural communities forming the diverse landscape. We will be stewarding remnant black oak barrens and prairie by cutting and treating invasive shrubs threatening the native plant population.

Register by emailing natural resource steward Anna Cone at ConeA1@Michigan.gov.

For more information, visit the Volunteer stewardship webpage.

Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks.

Please note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
