Western Lake Erie Cluster

The Western Lake Erie Cluster officially split off from the Lakeplain Cluster in June 2013. The communities (natural, built and human) of Monroe County, MI were facing different issues than those of Detroit and the closer metro areas. Leaders in the area decided that, to better serve local communities, we needed to spin off to form our own Cluster with partners farther up the River Raisin and around the Lake Erie Basin into Ohio.

The Western Lake Erie Cluster covers Monroe County in Michigan.
